Our server, Faith, was attentive and pleasant. The chicken and dumplings had one piece of chicken and a long black hair on the bottom. The side salad had been in the refrigerator for several hours and was dehydrated. Establishment difficult to get to coming from the east. I will bypass this cracker barrel in the future.
My mother and I often meet here because it's halfway between her house in Leicester and mine in Durham. Good store, friendly staff, and food is always good. Don't think we've ever had a problem except cloyingly sweet peach (or was it raspberry?) tea -- which was instantly resolved by addition of unsweetened tea brought out gratis. We've done Thanksgiving here multiple times.
If I could give no stars I would.
One weird thing, if you're coming from the East, they've moved around all the exits. So you either need to make the loop or take the I-77 exit then immediately exit.
Usually only about 50% of the food is good and today it was only about 10%.

She wouldn't even come back to our table so I could get a to go box for stuff that was edible had to flag down a waiter.
